How do I set up Slack notifications?
If Slack is your organization's preferred internal communication channel, you can have your employees receive the assigned training notifications directly in Slack.
System notifications, password change requests, and phishing simulations will still be sent out as emails only. This is exclusively about training notifications, such as when a user is assigned a course or a video or is sent a reminder about completing them.
Before you set it up, make sure you have an admin role in your Slack workspace to be able to make the connection to Moxso.
- In your Moxso admin portal go to Integrations > Users and communication > Slack
- Click on Connect to Slack. A sidebar opens prompting you to confirm that you wish to make the connection.
- You are then redirected to a page to review the app permissions. Review them and click Allow.
- When you're automatically returned to the Moxso admin portal, click on the toggle Enable training notifications and then on Save settings
Turning on Slack notifications does not disable the email notifications. It’s just an additional option to distribute the original email notifications.
You don’t have to use Slack for user provisioning to turn on the Slack Notifications feature. For example, you can import your users from your Entra ID or Google Workspace and only use Slack for training notifications.
