Which automation trigger should I use?
Moxso offers several triggers for starting a training automation. This article covers the three triggers used for standard training rollouts.

The three triggers
On a specific date enrolls everyone currently in your selected audience group at the moment the automation runs. Think of it as a snapshot: anyone added to the group after that date won't be enrolled automatically.
When an employee is created enrolls a user as soon as they're added to Moxso. This trigger is designed for the default All employees group only. If you're using a custom group, this trigger won't work.
When an employee is added to the sequence audience enrolls a user when they're added to the specific custom group tied to the automation. This is the correct trigger for any automation targeting a custom group.
Enrolling existing and new employees
A common scenario: you want all current employees to start training on a set date, and you want new employees enrolled as they join. The recommended approach is two separate automations with identical content but different triggers.
The first automation uses the On a specific date trigger. When you launch it, everyone currently in the group is enrolled. This automation does its job once.
The second automation uses When an employee is added to the sequence audience (or When an employee is created if you're using the default All employees group). This one stays active and picks up everyone added going forward.
Watch out: using the wrong trigger with a custom group
When an employee is created should only be used with the default All employees group. If your automation targets a custom group, use When an employee is added to the sequence audience instead.
If some employees were missed
If employees who should have been enrolled weren't — because of a wrong trigger or a late setup — you can add them manually. First, make sure they're part of the automation's target group. Then go to the automation while it's active, select Enroll employees, and choose the ones you want to add.
